What does winning the 2005 JPMA Innovation Award mean?

 The JPMA Innovation Awards highlight the year’s most innovative new baby products. It is a highly coveted and exciting international industry event.  The judging committee is comprised of retail buyers, as well as trade and consumer media representatives. Due to numerous entries, it takes the better part of a day to evaluate and judge all of the submitted products.  Each year, more than 100 companies participate in this event which receives local and national media coverage.

 The products are evaluated on the following criteria: 

1. Innovation (Is it a new and unique concept or feature)

2. Marketability (Will it Sell)

3. Trend Setting Potential (Will it influence future products)

4. Appeal (Is it attractive)

5. Usefulness (Is it designed for practical use)

Bela Baby is honored to have been chosen as one of  the10 winners at this year’s JPMA Show this past May.  Among the winners, 3 were from smaller companies such as Bela Baby.
