After filing for our patent pending status, we took our
product to a La Leche League conference for its test marketing debut. We
supplied approximately ten percent of the mothers in attendance with pillows.
They were able to take them to their hotel rooms over night and use them with
their infants. The age of children was newborn to 16 months.
The next morning when these moms returned their pillows to
us they were asked to fill out a product survey. The reviews and desire to have
the product available as soon as possible was overwhelming. All women said they
would purchase one for themselves, for a friend and would put it on their own
baby registry. Most exciting for us, was that most were begging to take the
Nurse-N-Glow Pillow home with them that day. A successful debut to be sure.
One memorable story was of a woman with a 6 month old.
She had not had success nursing in bed and felt she didn’t even want to try our
product. We explained that she was exactly the person we needed to here from.
The next morning a “changed woman” arrived at our booth. She was so excited
because the Nurse n Glow pillow had completely changed her outlook on breast
feeding in bed. She told us the pillow was very easy to use. She didn’t have
to support her baby herself and her baby slept peacefully after nursing,
supported comfortably by the pillow the rest of the night. Most importantly,
the light feature was what made her night time nursing experience special. She
confessed to using the light just to admire her baby and loved the fact that it
didn’t wake her baby up. We were all thrilled by her experience.
We at Bela Baby are convinced that if you are not a person
that enjoys nursing lying down or have never tried it, the Nurse n Glow pillow
will make your experience easier, and may be just the tool to help you become a
recumbent nursing mom.
